Keeping Wedding Costs Down

via Flickr

Sometimes you just cant have everything you want when it comes to your wedding. Expenses being what they are, couples have to make decisions on how much they want to spend for all the things that they traditionally have on their wedding day. You might have your own beliefs on whats important on that special day, but here are some things that you could probably do without, or at least minimize that would help your wedding day dollar go further.

Rustic Pittsburgh Wedding with JPC Event Group + Carden’s Photography

In the middle of the cold, snowy East coast winter {which actually has been fairly mild this year} I crave outdoor weddings.  Dana and Bens nuptials at the pastoral Armstrong Farms Allyson Anne barn are just the fix.  With gorgeous photos by Cardens Photography, and a TON of DIY creativity by Dana, not to mention a scrumptious pie bar by JPC Event Group, this wedding will feed your need for pretty, rustic and outdoor beauty!

Dana and Ben are both mechanical engineers for a large aeronautics company, and they embraced their science geek with creative formula and equation table markers amidst a setting of rustic ribbons, fabric flags and carefully crafted details.  Their shaker-style ceremony featured hand crafted vows and speeches, surrounded by family and friends.  And did I mention the killer photo booth that Dana created with oh-so-amazing props?

by Lori Photography via Flickr

Last month we presented an article titled 5 Ideas To Calm The Nervous Bride The Day Before Her Wedding. This time its the grooms turn. Truthfully its more important that we address the needs of the groom because we want to offer solutions that dont involve alcohol. Not that were saying that all grooms will head towards alcohol, but lets make sure to give them some of the choices.

1. Go to the gym. This is an idea we gave to the bride as well. Working off some energy by doing something physical never hurt anybody, especially if its in a controlled environment.
